Cat is a registered psychologist with a Master’s degree in Educational and Developmental Psychology from Monash University. She is currently completing her Educational and Developmental Psychology registrar program. She has experience working in numerous settings, including schools, community health, and private practice. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults. Cat takes a holistic and person-centered approach to her work by building an understanding of the individual’s world and collaborating to identify and work towards their goals. She enjoys conducting assessments and has a particular interest in assessing and working with neurodivergence and learning difficulties, including Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), autism, and Specific Learning Disorder (SLD; e.g. dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia). She tailors neurodivergent, behavioural & emotional, cognitive, and academic assessments to meet the needs of each person and believes in the importance of assessing the person, not the condition. She is interested in working together with each individual and their families and support systems, including schools and professional supports, to identify strengths and appropriate strategies to face challenges and barriers.Cat is interested in continuing to support individuals following their assessments, providing an opportunity to work together in tailoring and implementing strategies. She recognises the importance of post-diagnosis support, including the impacts on many areas of life, including identity, occupation/schooling, socialisation & communication, and wellbeing.
