Nicolas Diong
Psychologist
Nic is a psychologist with a passion for improving the lives of others. He adopts a person centred approach, focusing on the unique qualities and experiences of each individual. Nic also emphasises the importance of safe and judgement-free spaces, where even the trickiest topics are open for discussion. Values of kindness, empathy, and understanding are key to Nic’s practice.
Nic enjoys working with individuals of all ages across a variety of presentations. This includes individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, anger, substance abuse, gender identity, grief/loss, and more. He has extensive experience working with families, parents, couples, children, developmental disorders, and disabilities. Nic also has a specific interest in working with culturally diverse individuals, to navigate the complexities of identity and other culturally relevant challenges.
In the therapeutic space, Nic’s utilises a variety of evidence-based frameworks. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Schema Therapy.
